Policies for Online and Hybrid Classes
Instructor: ________________ Contact information: ______________________________
- Participation: Participants are required to have computer access and a working email for the class’s duration and actively participate by completing all assignments by the due dates. Participants must also read all assigned texts and videos and be prepared to post professional and respectful comments and provide constructive feedback. At each in-person session, participants must sign in. If a participant misses a class or classes, the credit is granted based on the number of “seat hours.” Someone may not substitute outside assignments for attendance of a course.
- Lateness: All assignments are due at 11:59 p.m. of the assigned due date. As a courtesy, one “late” is acceptable. Late projects will impact time credit and may result in failing/dropping the course.
- Assignments: All assignments, projects, and posts must meet the specific criteria outlined in an assignment. All reflections/comments must be at least eight sentences in length and must cite at least two pieces of evidence from the video/article/text to support your response.
- Integrity: Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated and will result in redoing the assignment or loss of credit. Please document all your sources and use honest practices when writing assignments.
- Group work: All group work must reflect equal and fair collaboration among the participants. Each member must meet each assigned task promptly. Communication must be professional and respectful.
- Recommendation for in-service credit: Time spent on the assignments and the quality should reflect the hours/credits given for the course (3 credits=45hrs, two credits=30hrs, one credit=15hrs). Participants must meet all of the above policies to receive full credit for the time.
- Contact: All questions, comments, or concerns can be posted in the discussion section of the assignment or emailed to the instructor at the email provided.
- Reflections: All participants are required to complete a review after the course.
Grading: By the end date of the course, the participant must have all classwork submitted. If you require an extension, you must email the instructor. Once all class work is complete and the course evaluation is submitted, the instructor will mark the course as passed/completed or failed/incomplete on MLP.
